Friday I uploaded an old, short video of one of our cats, Little Bitcher, sucking his foot. (An odd little habit of his.) Today it’s the #2 most viewed video in the Pets & Animals category!

No sound, but it still amuses me a lot.

Please pass the milkshake!

This morning was Olivia’s dairy challenge at her allergist’s office, and she passed! Yay!!! They started out just dipping a Q-tip in whole milk and swabbing the insides of her lips. When she didn’t react to that, they progressively gave her more and more milk to drink, starting with only 10 ml given from a syringe, and checking on her every 10 minutes. A couple of hours later, she was declared milk-safe! The next thing to do is test her egg allergy, but not any time soon. Her allergist said to deal with that in 6 months or a year.

She might still have a dairy reaction, and we kept her face clean, so she might still get contact hives from getting milk on her skin, but she is allowed to eat and drink dairy products now. We just need to keep and eye on her and continue to carry Benedryl and her Epi-Pens. (We had to get a new prescription for the Epi-Pens. They expired last month.)

We celebrated by going to Fuddrucker’s for lunch and getting Olivia a cheeseburger. She also got to have some of Dale’s strawberry milkshake. She was thrilled and found everything delicious, though towards the end of lunch, she preferred to eat her bowl of fresh fruit than drink more milkshake!

She’s still feeling good, if tired. Dale and I are so relieved and happy.
