Belated Puppy Update

Very delayed response, but…

Dale and I eventually learned that most of the messes Zoë left all over the house weren’t vomit. They were diarrhea. :(

I ended up taking Zoë to the vet. She checked out completely fine, so the vet just sent us home with 3 days’ worth of bland soft canned food and feeding instructions. Poor Zoë had one more nasty incident in the house, but was fine after that, though she didn’t like having to sleep in the bathroom at night. She did love the canned food though. Heck, Spritel the cat loved the food and tried to gobble down as much as he could before Zoë reached the bowl.

We still have no clue what caused the incident. I just hope it doesn’t happen again. ‘Cause I’d thought there wasn’t much that could be worse than when she had a urinary tract infection, but I was wrong.

Sick puppy!

There are 11 rooms (minus bathrooms) in the house.
5 of them are closed off or baby-gated.
That leaves 6 roooms that Zoë has access to.
She’s barfed copiously in 4 of them.
And on the stairs.

When I let her out, she was acting normal. We had no clue what had happened until we started walking around the house.

Introducing Allison Danielle

On Monday, November 3rd, at 11:26 PM, Dale and I became Uncle Dale and Aunt Pammie. Allison Danielle was born to Dale’s sister, Jill, and her husband, Bill. She has the right number of fingers and toes and weighed a whopping 9 lbs, and she’s absolutely adorable!

Unfortunately, Dale and I didn’t make it to Houston in time for the delivery, but we got to spend much of yesterday at the hospital. We had to return to Austin last night, but we’re probably going to head back down this weekend.

Congratulations Bill and Jill! Allison is beautiful!
