Oh, did I mention that I was going to Korea at the end of May? Yup. Dale and I will be joining my family in Seoul for my grandmother’s 80th birthday celebration. I’m pretty excited! I was maybe two years old the last time I visited Korea. Dale and my sister have never been there at all.

*whew* Flying to Korea is expensive! Thank goodness for internet specials!

I just heard cats squalling and fighting outside, so I pulled back the curtain and discovered them fighting right outside my window. What makes that so crazy, is that I’m on the second floor, and they’re two stories up in a tree!

Heh. Another one of my friends (a web developer) got laid off (in San Francisco). However, she’s thrilled about it, as she wanted to quit anyway, and now she gets 2.5 months of severance pay, plus rights to unemployment. Da-yamn!

I’ve never done this before, but bwg’s recent host problems make me grateful for the reliability of my own web host. Many thanks to OLM for 3 great years of service! I think in all that time, I’ve only had a handful of outages. Customer and tech support have been quick to respond to any questions or issues. And I haven’t found any other place that will supply everything I want plus give me 300 megs of space for under $20/month!

I’m playing with WindowBlinds now, and it’s pretty nifty!

Dale bought me a new graphics card, then spent most of today trying to get it to work on my computer. My system doesn’t seem to like him lately, even though he’s the one who put it together. Today, it took him about 8 hours to get everything running compatibly again. Of course, the process necessitated not one, but TWO reinstalls of my OS. Which, of course, means I have to reinstall ALL. MY. PROGRAMS. AGAIN.

If Windows was so damn badass, it should be able to reinstall everything for me. Fuckers.

FYI - I’m not dead, I’ve just been mostly offline lately. And when I’ve been online, I’ve been playing Urban Terror. Yeah, I’m a junkie now. And I’m getting better. The other day, I was ranked #294 on the ISPGN Team Deathmatch server. (So what if that’s 294 out of 300?)

OK, I started continuing my last post, but it became so long, I turned it into a journal entry instead.
